Grandma Patrick kept this cover of the Prairie Farmer newspaper from 1952 because it had Grandpa’s writing on it. I wonder who Grandpa voted for, Eisenhower or Stevenson.
I was 17 and following my mom’s tradition of making birthday collages when I made this for my mom. I don’t remember making it, but I know I did make collages — Just like Mom did for me and other folks.
My dad must have either sent this to Mom or to his folks when he was in the Navy. It is information about areas in Italy for the U.S.S Roanoke crew for when they landed in Augusta, Italy on January 25, 1950. Interesting that only in Augusta are “identified houses of prostitution” out of bounds.
“Anger,” an etching by Dona Patrick, age 111/2.
