Almost as much as I love reading, I love film and good television programs. If you are on Netflix, want to be my friend?
Below are some of my favorite past and present titles, as well as a list I want to see:
Currently watching
Lost - Glad the show is back
Monk - renting from Netflix
Recently Viewed
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - bleh
The Orphanage - Amazing
Juno - Lots of good fun
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days - great film, sad, sad, sad story
The Last King of Scotland - I didn’t watch the last fifteen minutes - was worried about the outcome, but thought the film fascinating, although disturbing. Forest Whitaker was amazing.
Epic Movie Don’t laugh. I watched this for the [G]Narnia content. I liked that aspect better than the Disney version of the first Narnia book. Could have done without the sexual and scatological humor though.
Little Children - Excellent film about the lives of suburbanites and the lies behind their lives.
The Last Mimzy - Enjoyable. Gotta re-read this story. My best friend as a teenager was a lead a play based on All Mimsy Were the Borogroves in middle school.
Bernard and Doris - I’d not heard of this until I saw it listed on HBO’s On Demand. It was well acted and the storyline was interesting. I know nothing of the real Doris Duke, so was unaffected by any discrepancies.
