The diary of a retired boomer

Dean made crepes for breakfast along with bacon. Delicious.

We didn’t have a set time to leave so it was a leisurely morning. I had ample time to drink my tea, then unload the dishwasher, and pack my stuff up.

We left around 1 and got home about 3:30. The beltway was a bit backed up which added time to the trip.

We listened to Clare on her first podcast talking about her book. It was pretty surreal. We’re both very proud of her and thought she did a great job on the podcast.

The cats were happy I was home.

I was sad to discover that an acquaintance died in April of last year. Over the years he’d helped out with our wifi, fixed Andrew’s computer, and helped me decide if I should get my latest phone. The last time we spoke was in 2022. It was weird because I thought about him and had the idea that he may have died. Unfortunately I was right. He died of Alzheimer’s and congestive heart failure.

Well, that’s all for now, goodnight.
