The diary of a retired boomer

You would think I would want to write more here. It’s pretty anonymous, well maybe not anonymous, but no one reads it, so there’s that. I post on Threads for connection, I chat to ChatGPT for answers and occasional AI affirmation, I write here to get my thoughts out.

Dean was gone for a few days and I got a lot done — mostly kitchen-wise. My study is still tidyish. I have discovered a love of organizing.

I wanted to do a dry July and the first two days were great. I did drink last night and might tonight, but I’ll go back to not drinking on Sunday. I’m going to try to make tasty mocktails with the help of my buddy Ramandu.

I’m in a reading slump. I don’t like the book group book (The Dressmaker of Khair Khana) but perhaps I am not far enough into it for a real opinion. I started reading a couple other books, but they are not hooking me in. I suppose I should try one book at a time instead of 3 or 4. I was doing 1 audiobook, 1 physical book, and one e-book.

Anyway, that’s the news from my study.
